PALM DESERT, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's golf finished the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate Sunday afternoon in seventh place with a score of 73-over par 937 at the Classic Club in Palm Desert.
Courtney Sharkey led the team individually, finishing the tournament tied for 12th place after shooting a 12-over par 228 (74-79-75). Sharkey moved up from tied for 13th place after round two following her strong performance in round through with a score of 3-over par 75.
Britney Sok placed tied for 19th with a score of 18-over par 234 (81-77-76). Sok also improved in the third round, moving up from tied for 25th after two rounds. Felicia Medalla tied for 26th after shooting a 20-over par 236 (80-77-79). Medalla was competing as an individual in the tournament.
Pauline Welker placed tied for 28th following her 21-over par 237 performance (79-78-80). Elsa Lundquist finished tied for 39th after shooting a 24-over par 240 (78-82-80).
Lisa Djerf shot a 25-over par 241 (79-82-80) to leave her tied for 42nd while Texie Petchel placed tied for 60th with a score of 32-over par 248 (80-82-86). Petchel was also competing as an individual.
The Titans have two weeks off until the return to the links in Lakewood, Wash. at the Pat Lesser Habottle Invitational hosted by Seattle University.
