RECORDS ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN: One week after setting a new Cal State Fullerton single-round scoring record, junior Martina Edberg shattered her own mark after posting an incredible 7-under 65 in the second round of the Cougar Cup. Edberg set a new Cougar Cup record as well as a new Palouse Ridge Golf Course record. Mariko Tumangan of Stanford, who shot a 67 on April 25, 2012, held the previous mark.

COUGAR CUP WRAP UP: Overall, Edberg finished the Cougar Cup in a tie for second place overall with a 3-under 213, two strokes back of Washington State's Cherokee Kim. It was Edberg's sixth career top-five finish and her 213 overall score tied for the second best 54-hole performance in Cal State Fullerton history, a score she carded on two previous occasions. She also led the tournament with 15 birdies overall.

Dakota Brown and Pauline Welker each participated in their first tournaments of the 2015-16 season, with Welker making her Titans debut. Brown finished tied for 27th with an 11-over 227 while Welker posted the third best score for the Titans, carding a 15-over 231.

Felicia Medalla and Brittany Farrell each carded a 16-over 232 while Ebba Nilsson posted a 21-over 237 while competing as an individual.

ONE TO GO: Following the completion of the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate, the Titans will have just one more tournament left on their fall schedule before taking a break for the winter. Fullerton will travel to the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational at Tacoma Golf and Country Club in Lakewood, Wash.
