Mountain View Collegiate Invitational Final Results (PDF)

TUCSON, Ariz. - Sophomore Martina Edberg recorded her fifth top-10 finish of the season and the Cal State Fullerton women's golf team finished in 10th place after wrapping up the final round of the Mountain View Collegiate Invitational hosted by Missouri and Kansas State at the Mountain View Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz.

Edberg shot her best round of the weekend on Saturday, carding a 2-under 70 to finish with a 3-under 213 for the 54-hole event. She finished in a tie for eighth place, four strokes behind medalist Meghan MacLaren of Florida International, who finished the event with a 7-under 209.

Edberg's effort helped lead the Titans to a 10th place finish as the team shot a collective 289 on the final day of the event to finish with a 13-over 877 throughout the 54 holes. The Titans were 10 strokes outside of a top-three finish and were 18 back of eventual champion Ohio State, which carded an 8-under 856 for the tournament, five strokes ahead of second-place FIU.

Nadine Rivera had the best three-day tournament score of her career, shooting a collective 4-over 220 at the Mountain View Collegiate Invitational. Rivera posted a 1-under 71 on Saturday, the second best single-round score of her career to finish in a tie for 34th place.

Makayla Mier finished in a tie for 50th place after posting a 5-over 77 on Saturday. She scored a collective 7-over 223 for the tournament.

Brittany Farrell had her best round of the tournament on Saturday, shooting a 1-over 73 to finish the tournament with a 9-over 225, good enough to finish in a tie for 59th place.

Tisha Alyn Abrea rounded out the Titans scoring with a 3-over 75 in the final round. She carded a collective 12-over 228 for the tournament.

The Titans will now rest up for a few weeks before heading to the Big West Championships on April 19 in El Macero, Calif.
