2014-15 Women's Golf Schedule (PDF)
FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton will have tournaments in four different states during the fall portion of their schedule while they play two tournaments in the state of California in the spring as sixth-year women's golf head coach Pearl Sinn-Bonanni released the team's 2014-15 schedule on Monday.
"Everyone is committed to getting the most out of our season," Bonanni said. "It will be a fun year of learning how to persevere and to be resilient. We will definitely be testing our team's character this season."
The Titans fall portion of the schedule will include trips to the Minnesota Invitational (hosted by the University of Minnesota/Minikahda Country Club/Minneapolis, Minn.), the Rose City Challenge (Portland State/Langdon Farms Golf Club/Portland, Ore.), Price's New Mexico State Invitational (New Mexico State/New Mexico State University Golf Course/Las Cruces, N.M.) and the Rainbow Wahine Invitational (Hawai'i/Leilehua Golf Course/Wahiawa, Hawaii).
Three of those trips are a repeat of last year's schedule for the Titans with the Rainbow Wahine Invitational being a new addition for the 2014-15 season. The Titans opened the season with an eighth-place finish at the Minnesota Invitational in 2013 and then placed fourth overall in the Rose City Collegiate, a tournament shortened to 54 holes due to weather last year. The Titans scored the first of their three top-three finishes in New Mexico, posting a collective score of 881, 17-over for the tournament.
In the spring, the Titans will tee off at The Gold Rush, hosted by Long Beach State on Feb. 9. It will be the team's fifth appearance at The Gold Rush since the team was reinstated for the 2009-10 season. The Titans finished in a tie for third place at the event to conclude their 2013-14 regular season.
A trip to the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational follows for the Titans. It will be the team's second consecutive trip to the San Jose State-hosted event; a place where Martina Edberg became the first Titans golfer to win an individual title at a 54-hole event.
Two new stops conclude the spring portion of the Titans regular season schedule as they head to the Entrada Classic hosted by BYU on March 16 followed by the Mountain View Collegiate hosted by Kansas State at Mountain View Golf Course in Tucson, Ariz. on March 20.
The 2014-15 season will conclude at the 2015 Big West Championships at El Macero Country Club in El Macero, Calif.
