FULLERTON, Calif. – After two successful years at Cal State Fullerton, Samuel Goni, signed with Club Celaya, a professional club in Mexico that currently plays in the Ascenso MX, the club announced Friday.

In his two years with the Titans, Goni led the team both season in goals and points, scoring nine goals and recording 19 points in 2017 and six goals with 14 points in 2018. Goni's nine goals in 2017 ranked third in the Big West Conference while last season he was ranked tied for sixth with six goals.

After helping lead Fullerton to its third Big West Championships in four years in 2017, Goni was named to the All-Big West Conference First Team along with the All-Far West Region Third Team.
