FULLERTON, Calif. – The 2015 Cal State Fullerton men's soccer team will feature 17 new additions to the squad that won the program's first-ever Big West Conference Tournament in 2014.
Throughout the summer, FullertonTitans.com will "Get to Know" the newest Titans, that will step on campus for the 2015-16 academic year.
The first Titan signee to join FullertonTitans.com for a Q&A is midfielder Roman Manning.

FullertonTitans.com: What made you ultimately decide to attend Cal State Fullerton and play for the Titans?
Roman Manning: When I first visited the campus, I really felt that it was a place I saw myself attending the next four years. It has a good balance of academics and athletics. After meeting the coaching staff, and the great group of players, it felt like a family just as much as a team. Cal State Fullerton has a great atmosphere that I wanted to be apart of.
FT: What position do you play, and what is your favorite aspect about playing that position?
RM: I play left midfield/forward. I like time to receive the ball on the wing, face up, be dangerous, and go at players.
FT: What will the Titan fans expect to see from you on the field in 2015?
RM: I am a team-first player, who thrives in big games. I consider myself a blue-collar player, who works and fights throughout the game. I want to be dangerous on the wings, set teammates up for scoring opportunities, and thrive in pressure of big games.
FT: What do you plan on studying in college and why?
RM: I plan to study business marketing. I aspire to someday own my own business, and become a coach. I want to teach the game, which has had such an impact on my life, to generations to come.
FT: If you had a chance to spend the day with anyone throughout history, who would it be, and why?
RM: Yvon Chouinard who started the company Patagonia. I myself grew up an outdoors kid and he is the king of outdoorsman. I find him to be the most interesting man in the world.
FT: What is your hidden talent?
RM: My best sport out of everything I do is snowboarding. I grew up snowboardi
ng since I was 5.
