Fenelus Invited to 2015 adidas MLS Player Combine

FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton men's soccer forward Marc Fenelus was named one of the 55 Division I college seniors invited to participate in the 2015 adidas Major League Soccer Player Combine Jan. 8-13 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., it was announced on Thursday.

The combine will have all 20 MLS coaching staffs in attendance to scout talent for the 2015 MLS SuperDraft that will take place Thursday, Jan. 15 in Philadelphia.

After a senior campaign that included a second-team All-Big West selection, a Big West Tournament championship and a trip to the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Fenelus will receive the opportunity to show off his talents to the MLS coaching community at the six-day combine.

14.  He was astaple on the pitch, appearing in all 24 games and starting in 22.  The senior from Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, has accumulated nine goals, four assists and 24 points in his two years in a Titan uniform after transferring from Western Texas College.

Fenelus will join Otis Earl (UC Riverside), Cameron Iwasa (UC Irvine), Sagi-Lev Ari (CSUN), and Marín Del Campo (UC Davis) as the Big West representatives at the combine.
 
Fenelus also competed in the 2014 Caribbean Cup for the Turks and Caicos Islands national team this year. In the 31st minute in a match against British Virgin Islands, Fenelus scored the team's first goal since 2008 as the team went on to a 2-0 victory.
 
Fenelus was selected by a committee consisting of NCAA Division I coaches from every conference and MLS representatives to participate in the 2015 adidas MLS Player Combine.
