OPPONENT & HISTORY
#14 UC Irvine | 7:00 PM
Wednesday, Oct. 29 | Titan Stadium
A red-hot season was brought to a halt for the Anteaters as UCI entered last week with a record of 11-1-2 and exited 11-3-2.  UCI dropped valuable points that allowed Fullerton to earn four points to become even at the top of the Big West South Division standings.
The No.3 ranking was the second time this season that the Anteaters had hit that mark in the National Soccer Coaches of America Association poll, tying the mark they set earlier this season for highest in school history.
The Anteaters had two streaks come to an end in last Saturday's loss to CSUN, 11 straight home wins, and 800 minutes of not giving up a goal at home.
Edwardo Calzada has become the man to watch out for on the Anteater roster, leading the team with seven total goals.
Head-to-Head: The Anteaters extended their lead in this all-time series with the win on Oct. 18, Fullerton now has a 19-23-7 record against UC Irvine.
Last Time Out: The Titans suffered a 1-0 loss to No. 7 UC Irvine at Anteater Stadium on Oct. 18, as UCI's Bryan Breslin scored the game winner in the 72 minute, converting a volley courtesy of Gor Kirakosyan's corner kick.

UC Riverside | 7:00 PM
Saturday, Nov. 1 | Titan Stadium
The Highlanders started off the past week with a stunning defeat of third-ranked UC Irvine, 2-1 last Wednesday.  The three points would come in handy after playing Fullerton to a 1-1 double-overtime draw last Saturday night, as the Highlanders hold a one-point lead on CSUN in the Big West South Division standings.
UCR still has three division games left to attempt to close the two-point gap between themselves and the leaders of the Big West South Division, Fullerton and UC Irvine.
Michael Salazar is the man the Fullerton defense should watch for on the Highlander roster, he has a team-leading five goals on the season.
Head-to-Head:  Fullerton could not extend its all-time series lead on UC Riverside last time out, as the record stands at 15-10-5.
Last Time Out: Cal State Fullerton earned a hard fought 1-1 double-overtime draw against UC Riverside at UC Riverside Soccer Stadium last Saturday, as the teams traded goals in the first half, Michael Salazar scoring for the Highlanders and Amara Soumah for the Titans.

QUALITY NOT QUANTITY
There have been four games this season where the Titans have amassed over 21 total shots in a game.  Suprisingly, its record in those games is 1-2-1, with the one win coming on a 30-shot outburst against Pacific on Oct. 13.

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS
The 2014 season has not gone as the Big West experts had foreseen.  CSUN was picked to top the South Division in the preseason poll, but is currently in last place with seven points.  Fullerton, who was picked to finish last, currently has 10 points, tied for first alongside UC Irvine with three games left to play.

DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE
The Titans have now shut out seven of their 17 opponents on the year, leading the Big West in that category. The shutout of CSUN last Wednesday moved the 2014 Titan team into a tie for second place in the Fullerton school record book.  Keepers David Rodriguez Elias and Jeff Salt have shared the workload in those games, Salt earning five shutouts and Rodriguez Elias netting two.  The 2014 Titans are chasing the 1993 Titans who totaled nine shutouts in that year.

WEARING OUT THE CORNER
Cal State Fullerton prides itself on a possession oriented attacking style that leads to not only a lot of assists, but corner kicks as well.  The Titans must be doing something right because they lead all Big West Conference teams in corner kicks on the season, earning a total of 104.  The closest team to Fullerton in the Big West is  UC Irvine with 93.
