FULLERTON, Calif. – San Francisco's Miguel Aguilar netted a pair of goals, including a decisive penalty kick in the 72^nd minute, to spoil the home opener of the George Kuntz head coaching era, as the Cal State Fullerton men's soccer team fell 2-1 at Titan Stadium on Friday evening. 

In a game plagued by over a combined 40 fouls including one red and five yellow cards, the Titans surrendered two penalty kicks, one of which was saved by Fullerton keeper Jeff Salt, but the final opportunity was buried by Aguilar as the Dons' held on for the victory and the Titans (0-2-1) remain winless after the first three games of the season.

The game-winning penalty kick was created when CSF defender Colin Okirie was sent off with a red card after a foul was whistled in the box in the 72^nd minute. The Titans were forced to play a man down for the remaining 18 minutes of the match.  

Fullerton managed to out shoot USF (2-1-0) by a commanding edge of 11-6.

CSF's Julian Okai opened up the scoring in the 18^th minute with his first goal of the season on a free kick two yards outside the box, lining it past Dons' goalkeeper Chase Hauser into the upper right corner of the net, giving the Titans a 1-0 lead. 

Just minutes later, USF responded as Aguilar headed in the equalizer in the 21^st minute after a free kick by David Romney was flicked across the goal by Davi Ramos, setting up Aguilar's goal at the back post. Aguilar's goals were his first and second of the season. 

Tonight was also the homecoming for first-year San Francisco head coach and former Cal State Fullerton All-American Eddie Soto. During his time at Fullerton, Soto was a two-time All-American selection (1992 and '93). 

The Titans will now travel to Santa Barbara to play a neutral site affair with Northwestern at noon on Sunday.

Game Notes: Following tonight's match, the Titans and Dons have now played 18 times since 1975, with USF now holding a 12-4-2 advantage…a trio of Titans were booked for yellow cards, Colin Okirie (23^rd minute), Dyllan Stevens (62^nd minute), and Marc Fenelus (86^th minute)…The Titans and Dons were even on corner kicks with five apiece…Jeff Salt has now saved 2-of-3 penalty kicks after saving another opportunity against San Diego on Sept. 2.
