MARICOPA, Ariz. – The Cal State Fullerton men's golf team is currently fifth in the standings after two rounds of play on Saturday at the Southern Dunes Collegiate Invitational at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz.

The Titans will begin the third and final round on Sunday morning.

After the first round of play on Saturday, the Titans topped the leader board with a score of 5-under-par 283 as Idaho and San Francisco each trailed Fullerton by a stroke. But in the second round, the Titans shot 295 to complete the day with a two-round score of 2-over-par 578 at fifth in the standings.

Heading into the third round of play, Idaho leads the field with a two-round score of 572 (-4), while San Francisco trails by just a stroke 573 (-3). Grand Canyon (575, -1) is in third followed by host Wyoming (577, +1). Fellow Big West foe UC Riverside (585, +9) trails the Titans by seven strokes in sixth place.

Freshman Jack Ireland leads the Titans in eighth place with a first round score of 70 (-2), followed by a second round score of 71 (-1), to finish the day with a two-round total at 3-under-par 141.

Junior Matt Murphy is currently tied for 18th with a two-round score of 146 (+2) after shooting a 74 (+2) in the first round followed by a 72 (E) in the second round.

Redshirt senior Mark Jensma was tied for seventh after a first round mark of 2-under-par 70, but dropped to 18th place with a score of 76 (+4) in the second round to finish day one at 146 (+2).

In his first round, freshman Matt Wilson shot a 3-under-par 69 and was tied for fifth place, before his second round score of 78 (+6) dropped him to 25th in the standings with a two-round score of 147 (+3).

Senior Marcos Mercado-Kiel's two –round score of 155 (+11) after marks of 79 (+7) and 76 (+4).

Idaho's Rylee Iacolucci leads the field with a two-round score of 136 (-8).
