Tyler Brown was named director of operations in August of 2018 after working as an assistant coach at San Francisco State University for the 2017-18 season. The upcoming 2019-20 campaign will be his second year with the Titans.

In 2018-19, the Titans made it to the Big West Tournament Final for the second straight year, the first time that has been accomplished in program history, but were unable to secure the trophy and return to the NCAA Tournament. Fullerton did earn its third consecutive postseason berth, also a program first, as it hosted CSU Bakersfield in the first round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament. The Titans went 16-18 on the year and 10-6 in Big West Conference action to take third place in the standings.

Along with coaching at SFSU, Brown was tasked with managing daily basketball operations, worked on player development, he supervised team managers, was the travel coordinator, monitored academic progress of student-athletes and recruited locally and nationally as well.

Prior to San Francisco State, Brown was an assistant coach from August of 2014 to May of 2017 at Cal State Monterey Bay where he had many of the responsibilities.

Before his coaching career began in 2013 at Ponderosa High School, Brown spent three years at Humboldt State as a member of the men's basketball team. He won a conference championship and conference tournament championship and was named team captain for the 2012-13 season.

He spent the 2008-09 and and 2009-10 seasons at Monterey Peninsula College where he was team captain for both years and was also on the Dean's Honors List.

Brown earned a psychology degree from HSU and minored in criminal justice. He also earned his associates degree in general education at MPC.
