First Men's Basketball Practice in the Books

FULLERTON, Calif. - The journey to get back to the NCAA Tournament began on Tuesday afternoon for the Cal State Fullerton men's basketball team as head coach Dedrique Taylor held the first practice session of the 2018-19 season. The Titans host San Diego Christian in an exhibition matchup on Nov. 3 before officially kicking off the season at Arizona State on Nov. 6.

Fullerton hit the Titan Gym floor and worked on offensive and defensive fundamentals and conditioning while still working on basketball skills. Taylor and his coaching staff went over some offensive and defensive principles and then allowed the team to play five-on-five apply said principles to live action.

The Titans return four of five starters and 13 total student-athletes from the 2017-18 squad that went 20-12 overall, won the Big West Conference Tournament and earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Newcomers to the squad include freshman guard Wayne Arnold and junior forward Amel Kuljuhovic.

Beginning today, the squad will roughly practice six days a week leading up to the matchup against the Sun Devils.

Season tickets for the 18-19 season are on sale now. Courtside seats are $488 while reserved seats are $188. Single game tickets for the upcoming season will go on sale at 10 a.m. PT on Oct. 15.
