Men’s Basketball Sweeps CSUN, Allman, Jr. Joins 1K Club

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball earned a season sweep of Cal State Northridge on Wednesday night with a 102-76 road victory. Junior guard Kyle Allman, Jr. scored 23 points and became the 25th Titan in program history to score 1,000-career points.

CSF (17-10, 10-5) trailed 13-9 early in the first half then went on a 15-0 run and Cal State Northridge (6-24, 3-13) could not recover. The Titans overpowered the Matadors in the first half, scoring 53 points (second-best mark on the season for a single half) on 62.5% shooting (20-32). CSUN turned the ball over nine times and CSF converted those mishaps into 14 points.

CSF finished the game with a season-high 102 points on 57.1% (40-70) shooting. The Titans also scored a season-high 68 points in the paint and owned the glass, out-rebounding CSUN 47-23.

Allman scored 18 of his 23 points in the first half. For the game, he shot 7-12 from the field and 8-9 from the stripe. The Brooklyn native also hauled in four rebounds and had an assist. He has scored 20+ points in five straight games and 14 times total for the season.

Senior forward Arkim Robertson had a big night with 12 points, eight rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 19 minutes.

Sophomore guard Austen Awosika chipped in 11 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Titans. Sophomore forward Jackson Rowe had 10 points and five rebounds. Junior guard Khalil Ahmad had a career-high five steals to go along with nine points and four rebounds.

CSUN was led by Lyrik Shreiner with 20 points and six rebounds.

CSF wraps up the regular season on Saturday against Hawai'i with a 3 p.m. PT tip on Fox Sports Prime Ticket. Robertson will be recognized prior to tipoff as the team's lone senior.
