FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball had arguably its best offensive performance of the season on Saturday night in an 88-70 win over Cal State Northridge at Titan Gym. Junior guard Khalil Ahmad led all scorers with 29 points as the Titans picked up their third straight win. Junior guard Kyle Allman, Jr. scored 27 points himself and sophomore forward Jackson Rowe narrowly missed a triple double with 16 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

CSF never trailed on Saturday night and the game was only tied for 59 seconds. The Titans shot 50% (30-60) from the field, marking the third straight game they have shot 50% or better. CSF connected on seven of its 16 tries (43.8%) from distance and were 21-26 (80.8%) from the stripe. The Titans had a season-high 21 assists and a season-low eight turnovers as well.

Ahmad scored 22 of his 29 points in the second half, as he shot an efficient 10-15 from the field and went 5-8 from distance. It is the third straight game he has scored 20+ points and the ninth time he's done it this season. Ahmad has also made four or more three-point field goals in eight games this season. He also chipped in five rebounds. For the last three games, Ahmad is shooting 69% (29-42) from the field.

Allman eclipsed 20 points for the second straight game, the fifth time in the last six games and the 11th time this year. He shot 8-14 from the field and 10-13 from the free-throw line, marking the eighth time this year he has made eight or more free-throw attempts. Allman also dished out two assists and had a steal.

Rowe did everything for CSF, scoring 16 points on 6-12 shooting, hauling in nine rebounds and dishing out a career-high eight assists (his previous high was five). Rowe also had two blocks and one steal.

CSUN shot the ball well also at 52.9% (27-51) from the field and 61.5% (8-13) from three but they turned the ball over 18 times that led to 22 CSF points. The Titans also won the rebounding battle 34-27.

Cal State Fullerton heads to UC Riverside on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. PT game. The Titans return home to face Long Beach State on Saturday at 7 p.m. PT for a nationally-televised game on ESPN2.
