PORTLAND, Ore. – Led by juniors Khalil Ahmad (24 points) and Kyle Allman, Jr. (21 points), Cal State Fullerton (5-3) men's basketball won at Portland by a score of 76-66 on Wednesday night in the Chiles Center.

Ahmad's 24 points were a game high and just one point shy of his season high. Ahmad shot 8-15 from the floor and 4-7 from distance. He has now made four three pointers in three games this season.

Allman reached double figures for the fifth consecutive game, scored more than 20 points for the second game in a row and has eclipsed 20 points three times this season. He shot 6-10 from the field and 9-13 from the charity stripe.

Portland (3-6) was led by Josh McSwiggan and Phillip Hartwich, both of which scored 15 points.

The Pilots started the game up 13-0 but the Titans rallied and closed the half on a 6-0 run to close the deficit to just one at 33-32. The Titans then opened up the second half on a 17-6 run and the Pilots could not recover. CSF outscored Portland 44-33 in the final 20 minutes of the game.

CSF was aggressive on defense, recording eight steals, one steal shy of tying a season-high mark. Tonight's win snapped a streak of eight straight losses on the road to non-conference opponents for the Titans.

The squad returns to action on Saturday at Titan Gym against Utah Valley. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. PT.
