FULLERTON, Calif. – Corey Hawkins scored 26 points and Josh Fox came off the bench for 20 as UC Davis rolled to its fifth consecutive victory Saturday, 79-68, at Cal State Fullerton.

The Aggies (14-3, 4-0) continue their best Div. I start and hold onto first place in the Big West Conference.

Alex Harris had 20 points for Fullerton (8-10, 0-3), which lost its third in a row after a 5-game winning streak.  Jordan Mason came off the bench for a season-high with 16 points

The nation's leaders in 3-point field goal percentage coming in at 46.3 percent, Davis made 9 of 19 (47.4) including 4 of 7 by Hawkins, who led all rebounders with 10.

Overall, the Aggies made 53 percent of their shots to 35 percent by Fullerton.

Davis gradually pulled away from a 17-17 tie to build a 43-30 halftime lead.

Fullerton, which has trailed by double digits at the half in each game of its losing streak, again came back to make it interesting.  The Titans closed to 60-55 but Josh Ritchart buried a trey from the top of the key.  They got within 5 again at 65-60 but Neal Monson scored inside.  And again at 71-66 at 2:07 but Fox made a free throw and then a jumper and it was 74-66 going into the final minute.

Next week the Titans make their Central Coast trip with games Thursday night at Cal Poly SLO and Saturday at 4 p.m. at UC Santa Barbara.
