FULLERTON, Calif. – Tre' Coggins, a 6-foot-2 guard, has transferred to Cal State Fullerton following his departure from Air Force.

Coggins, a San Juan Capistrano, Calif., native, left Air Force following his sophomore season (2013-14), and will redshirt the 2014-15 campaign at Cal State Fullerton. He will be eligible to play for 2015-16.

"We are extremely excited to add Tre' to the Titan family," second-year head coach Dedrique Taylor said.  "He embodies all that our program stands for. Tre' is very mature, he's got great experience having played very well at Air Force, and he is coming home.  The future of our program is very bright with Tre' Coggins joining the Titans."  

As a sophomore, Coggins averaged a team-leading 16.0 points per game, and he was named to the all-Mountain West Conference third team. He added 71 assists and shot 42.2 percent from the floor while leading the team in both three-pointers (72) and steals (32).

He scored 20 points or more on eight occasions.

As a freshman, Coggins appeared in 31 games off the bench, averaging 2.4 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.

Prior to his collegiate career, Coggins appeared in 30 games for USAFA Prep School, averaging 11.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest. He was a three-year letterwinner in basketball at JSerra Catholic High School, and was twice named team MVP. In addition while at JSerra, Coggins was first-team all-conference and second-team all-CIF selection as a senior.

The Titans will host their annual Men's Basketball Golf Tournament Presented by Nike on Monday, Aug. 11, at the Black Gold Golf Club in nearby Yorba Linda, Calif.

The annual golf event benefits the Titans' men's basketball program. Festivities begin with registration and a luncheon at 11 a.m. on Aug. 11 with a shotgun start to follow at 1 p.m. Your contribution includes the round of golf, cart, range balls, lunch, post-event dinner banquet, and auction.
