Turner and Floro Set for the World Series

FULLERTON, Calif. - The 116th Fall Classic will fittingly match the two best teams from both the National and American League as the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2020 World Series. The series is set to begin on Tuesday with the Rays sending Tyler Glasnow, 2-1 this postseason, against Dodger ace Clayton Kershaw, also 2-1. First pitch is set for 5:09 PM and all games can been seen on Fox.

Former Titan standouts Justin Turner, who will be playing in his third World Series in the last four years with the Dodgers, and Dylan Floro, playing in his second World Series in the last three years with the club, will once again seek to capture their first championship.

The Dodgers, who captured their 24th National League pennant, advanced to the Fall Classic after sweeping both the Brewers and Padres, and eventually defeating the Atlanta Braves in a classic game seven in the NL Championship Series.

The Tampa Bay Rays, who return to the Fall Classic for the first time since 2008, advanced to the World Series after sweeping through the Blue Jays, beating their arch rivals from the AL East, the NY Yankees, and finally defeating the Houston Astros in seven games to capture the AL pennant.

Turner continues to anchor a potent Dodger lineup and has been a staple in the heart of the order. In 12 postseason games this fall Turner is hitting .209 in 43 plate appearances, registering a home run and 4 run batted-in.

Floro has been solid out of the pen in two postseason series making 3 appearances while registering a 2.70 ERA with five strikeouts in 3.1 IP.
