After a shortened regular season of only 60 games due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Major League Baseball is set to return to postseason play beginning on Tuesday. Cal State Fullerton will once again be well represented in October baseball as the Titans will have six players and four coaches vying for an opportunity to win a World Series title.

Justin Turner and Dylan Floro of The Los Angeles Dodgers, who won the division and finished the regular season with the best record in baseball at 43-17, are set to take on the Milwaukee Brewers beginning on Wednesday, Sep. 30.

Turner put together another impressive offensive regular season that saw him anchor the middle of the Dodgers lineup. Turner played in 42 games and finished with a .307 batting average, four home runs, 23 RBI, and 26 runs scored. Floro, who made 25 appearances out of the bullpen, finished with a record of 3-0 and a 2.59 ERA.

Chad Wallach and the Miami Marlins, after a rough 2019 campaign the saw the team lose 105 games, have returned to post-season for the first time since a 2018 wild card berth. The Marlins are set to face a talented Chicago Cub roster that won the NL Central with a 34-26 record.

Wallach appeared in 15 games where he finished with a .227 average, a home run and six RBI in 44 at bats.

Michael Lorenzen and the Cincinnati Reds return to the postseason where they are set to face the Atlanta Braves, division winners from the NL East.

Lorenzen made 18 appearances for the Reds that included 2 starts, and finished with a 3-1 record and 4.28 ERA.

Khris Davis and the Oakland Athletics, division winners from the AL West, are set to take on the Chicago White Sox in the wild card round. In 85 at bats Davis finished the regular season with 10 RBI and two home runs.

2019 Gold Glove third baseman Matt Chapman, who was in the midst of another solid season, will miss the post-season after having season-ending surgery to repair his hip. Former Golden Spike winner Mark Kotsay is also part of the A's organization where he serves as the quality control coach.

Dustin Garneau will be playing in his first post-season as the Houston Astros take on the Minnesota Twins in round one of the playoffs. Garneau, who helps lead the Astros pitching staff with his presence behind the dish, appeared in 17 games for Houston.

The Yankees, who are set to face the Cleveland Indians beginning on Tuesday, Sep. 29, have three former Titans who are members of the coaching staff. Former Golden Spike winner and first round pick Phil Nevin serves as the team's third base coach, P.J Pilittere serves as an assistant hitting coach, and Mike Harkey is the bullpen coach.
