FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton (8-10) heads north for a nonconference matchup against rivals Long Beach State (3-16) in a three-game at the Blair field with first pitch scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

Hank LoForte continued his historic streak this week, extending his on-base streak to 63 consecutive games dating back to March 11 of the 2018 season. LoForte's streak leads the nation for the longest active streak.

Tanner Bibee looks to get the start for the Titans Friday night, having pitched 33.2 innings in five appearances this season while striking out 33 batters with a 2.41 ERA. In just his second collegiate start, the freshman went six innings, allowing three hits and two runs, only one of which was earned, while striking out five James Madison batters.

Fellow freshman Michael Knorr is coming off of his most successful start of the season and first collegiate win against James Madison, pitching seven scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and striking out three batters.

Knorr looks to be the starter Sunday afternoon for the Titans against Long Beach State. Fullerton is 5-0 this season in Sunday games which Knorr has started four of. The Titans are 4-1 this season when Knorr gets the nod.

Timothy Josten has been untouchable on the mound as of late for the Titans, allowing just two runs in his last four appearances. The sophomore has pitched 21.1 innings in seven appearances this season, striking out 19 batters.

Mitchell Berryhill extended his hit streak on Tuesday against San Diego to 10 consecutive games and his on-base streak to 27 straight games going back to last season. Berryhill has a total of 25 hits in 18 games this season with a team-high 12 RBI.

Long Beach State is coming off of a series loss against Minnesota along with a mid-week loss to USC. Zak Baayoun will be the Dirtdbags Friday night starter this weekend against the Titans. Baayoun comes into the game with a 4.66 ERA and a 0-4 record.

Adam Seminaris looks to a be a starter this weekend for the Dirtbags, coming into the game with a 2.87 ERA in five appearances and four starts starts. Sagun Gainey is the probable starter for the Sunday afternoon game. Gainey is 0-1 in 2019 with a 3.60 ERA.
