FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton has announced that 10 players have signed National Letters of Intent to play baseball for the Titans.
Cal State Fullerton's 2015 recruiting class was ranked the No. 24 recruiting class in the nation, according to Collegiate Baseball newspaper's annual evaluation. Fullerton's class ranks first among Big West Conference opponents, ahead of No. 36 UC Santa Barbara. The Titans recruiting class also ranks second amongst teams in California, trailing only UCLA at No. 6 and ahead of No. 34 USC.
The Titans are coming off their 17th trip to the NCAA College World Series in 2015 and first since 2009, snapping the longest CWS drought in Fullerton history. It was the 41st consecutive winning season and 30-win season in the program's NCAA Division I history. Fullerton advanced to its 24th consecutive NCAA Tournament in 2015 and 37th overall in 41 years of existence.

Named 2015 Underclass High Honorable Mention by PerfectGame… Played outfield, infield and pitched for the Knights and head coach Vince Brown… Posted a 1.17 ERA as a junior… Named a scholar athlete and earned high academic honors at Foothill High School… Also played football and soccer in his freshman and sophomore years.

Dylan Carlson | 1B/LHP | 6'3 | 195 | S/L | Elk Grove, Calif. | Elk Grove HS
Named 2015 Underclass High Honorable Mention by PerfectGame… Earned First Team All Delta League and First Team All-State honors as a junior… Batted .337 with one home run and 20 RBI with eight stolen bases.
Coaching Staff: "Dylan is high-profile and extremely athletic player that has power from both sides of the plate and will have the potential to hit in the middle of our line up. He can be a very productive asset for the Titan offense. Dylan also pitches and could be a power arm to add to the bullpen."
Daniel Cope | C | 6'0 | 170 | R/R | San Diego, Calif. | Mt. Carmel HS
Batted .389 with two home runs and 11 RBI as a junior at Mt. Carmel High School in 2015… Named second team All Palomar League as a sophomore and then earned First Team honors as a junior… Part of CIF championship team during his freshman year.
Coaching Staff: "Daniel is a super athletic catcher that has unbelievable catch and throw skills. His defensive prowess could make an immediate impact. Reminds us of former Titan great Kurt Suzuki behind the plate."
James Endersby | INF/OF | 6'1 | 175 | R/R | Orange, Calif. | Orange HS
Named First Team All Goldenwest League and Second Team All-County… Batted .494 as a junior and broke school record with 34 RBI… Also earned Goldenwest League defensive player of the year honors as a sophomore.
Coaching Staff: "Jimmy is super athletic young man that has great power potential and can go get the ball in the outfield. Jimmy is a longtime Titan baseball fan and knows what Titan Baseball is about."
Evan Larsen | RHP | 6'3 | 190 | R/R | Costa Mesa, Calif. | Corona Del Mar HS
Named All-CIF Southern Section Div. 3… Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Year as a junior… Went 9-4 with a 1.20 ERA as a junior with the Sea Kings… Tossed eight complete games with five shutouts including a no-hitter against San Juan Hills on March 5, 2015… Opponents batted .177 against him in 2015.
Coaching Staff: "Evan is a three pitch mix guy with huge upside. He, like many other Titan greats, has a knack for throwing competitive strikes."
Brandon Moore | RHP | 6'2 | 230 | R/R | Whittier, Calif. | St. John Bosco HS
Named 2015 Underclass High Honorable Mention by PerfectGame… Posted a 3.00 ERA with 23 strikeouts as a sophomore to earn team pitcher of the year honors, posted 17 strikeouts as a freshman and named top team rookie… Struck out 12 batters during junior season.
Coaching Staff: "Brandon is big right hander that has potential to come in and compete for a weekend rotation spot as a freshman."
Dillon Persinger | INF | 5'11 | 195 | R/R | Fountain Valley, Calif. | Golden West CC
Earned First Team All-State honors in 2015 at Golden West CC and named a third-team All American… Batted .367 with a .487 on-base percentage and scored 35 runs… Played three years on the varsity squad at Fountain Valley High School (2012-2014) for head coach Deric Yanigasawa.
Coaching Staff: "Dillon is a physical hitter that will come in make an impact right away."
D.J. Peters | OF | 6'6 | 220 | R/R | Glendora, Calif. | Western Nevada College
Batted .340 with a .545 slugging percentage and .414 on-base percentage in his first season at Western Nevada College… Belted seven home runs and drove in 39 RBI to go with 12 stolen bases… Earned First Team All-Scenic West Conference honors and was named the offensive player of the year.
Coaching Staff: "DJ is a very physical outfielder that has big time gap to gap power potential and can patrol center field."
Sahid Valenzuela | INF | 5'9 | 140 | S/R | Castroville, Calif. | St. Francis HS
Batted .500 with one home run and 20 RBI as a junior and stole 44 bases… Named First Team All SCCA League and named to the All-County team in all three years playing for the Sharks.
Coaching Staff: "Sahid is a very athletic switch hitting middle infielder who has a lot of tools and is one of the toughest kids around."
Zach Weller | 3B | 6'2 | 195 | R/R | Coronado, Calif. | Coronado HS
Earned 2015 Underclass High Honorable Mention by PerfectGame… Batted .342 with a .465 on-base percentage as a junior with the Islanders of Coronado High School… Earned team MVP honors in 2015… Named Second Team All Central League and was named to the California Coaches Association All South Team.
