Blue-Orange Series Wraps Up Fall Practice, Free Baseball Clinic on Saturday

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton baseball team will hold the Blue-Orange series which will run from Thursday through Saturday to wrap up fall practice. There will be a free baseball clinic on Saturday morning before the final game of the series.

Admission to all three games is free. Parking is $8 on Thursday and Friday and free on Saturday. The free camp on Saturday will run from 9-10:30 a.m. and is open to children ages 6-13 and fans can register by clicking here. The clinic will be run by the Titans coaches and will focus on batting, infield, outfield, base running, pitching and catching.

Taylor Bryant and Shane Stillwagon will serve as captains for the Orange team while Dalton Blaser and Chad Hockin will be captains for the Blue side. Games will go nine innings and there will be batting practice prior to each game.  Game times and starting pitching matchups are as follows:

Thursday, 3 p.m.: John Gavin (Blue) vs. Brett Conine (Orange)

Friday, 4:30 p.m.: Blake Quinn (Blue) vs. Colton Eastman (Orange)

Saturday, 12:30 p.m.: Connor Seabold (Blue) vs. Scott Serigstad (Orange)

The Titans are coming off their 17th trip to the NCAA College World Series in 2015 and first since 2009, snapping the longest CWS drought in Fullerton history. It was the 41st consecutive winning season and 30-win season in the program's NCAA Division I history. Fullerton advanced to its 24th consecutive NCAA Tournament in 2015 and 37th overall in 41 years of existence.

Fullerton will begin the 2016 regular season on Feb. 19 when they face Stanford in Palo Alto for a three-game series. Overall, Cal State Fullerton will play a 56-game schedule in 2016 with 33 games taking place at Goodwin Field and 23 on the road. The Titans were 21-8 at home and 17-13 on the road in 2015.

Academy Award and Emmy-winning actor, director and Cal State Fullerton alum Kevin Costner will be the keynote speaker for the 10th annual Dinner with the Titans fundraiser, which will take place at the Irvine Marriott in Irvine, Calif on Jan. 29, 2016. 

Registration is now open for the Cal State Fullerton baseball program's biggest fundraising event of the year. It serves as an opportunity for Titans fans to meet and mingle with the current team and coaches as well as former Titan greats. Reservations begin at $150 for individual tickets.

In addition, fans that purchase first-time season tickets for the 2016 season will receive a $50 discount on individual Dinner with the Titans tickets. The discount can be applied to 1 event ticket for each season seat. Season tickets for the 2016 Titans baseball are on sale now.

Season tickets for the upcoming Cal State Fullerton baseball season are currently on sale.

Season tickets can be purchased online, in person at the Cal State Fullerton Athletics Office or by calling (657) 278-CSUF (2783) from the hours of 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

First-time season ticket buyers will also get a $50 discount on Dinner with the Titans individual tickets.

Ticket packages including "Friday Night Lights" and "Any Given Sundays" will go on sale Monday, December 7th along with single-game tickets.
