AUSTIN, Texas. --- Senior Trevor Gorwin fouled on each of his three attempts in the shot put on Friday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminary at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

The Titan record holder in both the shot put and hammer failed to place and did not advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore.

The Titans will continue to compete on Saturday with Anthony Applequist in the men's triple jump, Laura Hamann and Ty'Jalayah Robertson in the women's triple jump and Mason Rollins, Thaddeus Smith, Luis Matos and Zimmerman in the men's 4x100-meter relay.
