The Fullerton sprinters and middle distance runners will carry the torch for the Titans in Walnut, Calif. on Thursday and Friday at the Mt. SAC Relays.  The Titan runners will be competing in five different events over the two-day meet.

On the men's side, Taylor Ros will once again step into the starting blocks in the 400-meter dash after taking home first place in the event at the Big West Challenge with a time of 48.01 seconds.  Joshua Gordon, who finished just behind Ros last weekend, and Chaz Harmon will also be competing after posting a times of 48.05 sec. and 48.69 sec, respectively, in their last time out.

Janaya Shorty will look to keep her string of top finishes alive on Friday when she participates in the 200m and 400m dash.  Shorty took home two first-place finishes at the Big West Challenge, one being in the 200m with a season-best time of 23.79 sec.  Calaiah Branch and Morgan Thompson will join Shorty in the 400m dash on Friday afternoon.

Beach Invitational | Sat. Apr. 18 | Tentative Schedule (PDF)

The largest contingent of Titans will be on display at the Beach Invitational hosted by Big West opponent Long Beach State on Saturday.  The Titans will send members from both the men's and women's team to compete in a variety of events from sprints, to jumps, to throws.

The Titan jumpers will finally get their chance to defend their top finish on Saturday as Malik Johnson took home first place at the Big West Challenge a week ago.  Johnson will take part in the high jump competition in Long Beach as the lone Fullerton men's representative.

Ty'Jalayah Robertson, who holds the Fullerton school indoor record in the high jump competition, will be back for a second-straight meet to compete in the event after a second-place finish at Titan Track Complex last weekend.  She will also join Ifunanya Gwacham in the triple jump on Saturday at the Beach Invite.

Senior Taylor Frank will be the busiest Titan on Saturday in Long Beach, taking on the 100m dash, 100m hurdle, shot put and javelin throw events.  Frank broke the CSF school record for most points in a heptathlon earlier this season, compiling 4,508 points at the UC Riverside Spring Classic on Mar. 26-28.
