FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton men and women's track and field team will split up for the weekend and travel to three separate meets over a three-day span starting on Thursday at the Cal State Los Angeles Twilight Open and Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif. before traveling down the road to the Beach Invitational in Long Beach, Calif.
The Titans will send only the throwing squads to the one-day meet that is held annually the day before the Mt. Sac Relays meet opens. Trevor Gorwin, Emmanuel Martinez, Steven Parsons and JaQuan Scott will be throwing for the Titan men while the trio of Jessica Flores, Amanda Mercado and Alexandria Kemp will compete for the Titan women.

The Fullerton sprinters and middle distance runners will carry the torch for the Titans in Walnut, Calif. on Thursday and Friday at the Mt. SAC Relays. The Titan runners will be competing in five different events over the two-day meet.
Janaya Shorty will look to keep her string of top finishes alive on Friday when she participates in the 200m and 400m dash. Shorty took home two first-place finishes at the Big West Challenge, one being in the 200m with a season-best time of 23.79 sec. Calaiah Branch and Morgan Thompson will join Shorty in the 400m dash on Friday afternoon.

The largest contingent of Titans will be on display at the Beach Invitational hosted by Big West opponent Long Beach State on Saturday. The Titans will send members from both the men's and women's team to compete in a variety of events from sprints, to jumps, to throws.
Ty'Jalayah Robertson, who holds the Fullerton school indoor record in the high jump competition, will be back for a second-straight meet to compete in the event after a second-place finish at Titan Track Complex last weekend. She will also join Ifunanya Gwacham in the triple jump on Saturday at the Beach Invite.
Senior Taylor Frank will be the busiest Titan on Saturday in Long Beach, taking on the 100m dash, 100m hurdle, shot put and javelin throw events. Frank broke the CSF school record for most points in a heptathlon earlier this season, compiling 4,508 points at the UC Riverside Spring Classic on Mar. 26-28.
