2014 Full Season Statistics (PDF)
For the Titans' Indoor Track and Field program, the 2014 season was certainly one people can feel good about, as the squad managed to break five school records, numerous personal bests, and competed in two new events. While also boasting many top-four finishes the Titans now head into the outdoor portion of its schedule with a lot of momentum.

Destinee Brown, Ashley Sims, Katie Wilson, and Deena Pierce were the clear leaders of this productive group, as Brown broke the school record in the 60-meter dash as a freshman.
Sims was the second best Titan in the 60-meter dash as she posted a personal best of 7.66 in the finals of the Boise State Team Challenge to finish third. The Granada Hills, Calif., native posted five top-four finishes in the 60m dash this season and had a season-best time of 24.75 in the 200-meter dash to finish first in her MPSF preliminary heat.
Last season, Wilson broke the school record in the 600-meter dash and posted a team-best time of 55.61 in the 400-meter dash, but this season Wilson ran a 54.84 400-meter dash at the UNM Cherry and Silver Collegiate. The senior sprinter also competed in the 200-meter dash posting finishes of second and third in her respective flights.
Pierce held the team-best times in the 60-meter hurdles, as she recorded a time of 8.22 and placed second in her preliminary heat at the MPSF Championships. However, the junior hurdler finished first in the finals of the Boise State Team Challenge with a time of 8.77.
The 4x400 relay team produced its best finish of the season at the MPSF Championships, as the group of Tigest Nealy, Sims, Brown, and Wilson led the Titans to a fourth place finish with a time of 3:50.16.
Distance Runners
The Titans saw a lot of success with this group, especially junior Tejera Dial who broke the school record in the 800-meter run and one-mile run. Dial set the school record and finished first in the 800-meter at the Boise State Team Challenge with a time of 2:15.89. The Bakersfield, Calif., native also broke the one-mile run school mark at the MPSF Championships with a time of 5:06.95.
Redshirt-sophomore Ana Valdovinos initially broke the one-mile run school record before Dial at the Husker Invitational with a time of 5:08.58.Juniors Nicolette Garcia and Taylor Frank who both competed in the 800-meter run as part of the pentathlon event had their best times of 2:39.27 and 2:46.80, respectively.
Junior Katie Bathgate ran a team-best time of 10:22.65 in the 3000-meter run at the Husker Invitational and a team-best time of 18:15.33 at the MPSF Championships to round out the top performances in the group.
Throwers, Jumpers, and Pole Vault
Ty'Jalayah Robertson, Jasmyne Davis, Amanda Mercado, and Bryn Williamson led this group, as Robertson recorded team-bests in both the high (1.63m) and the triple jump (11.87m).
Mercado managed to record team-bests in the weight throw and shot put. She recorded a toss of 11.45m in the shot put and placed fourth at the Northern Arizona Challenge, while she finished second in the weight throw at the MPSF Championships with a toss of 16.38m.
Williamson represented the Titans in the pole vault, and recorded a season best leap of 3.25m, while placing seventh at the Boise State Team Challenge. Kimberly Amaya also competed in the pole vault and finished with a personal best of 3.1m also at the Boise State meet.
Pentathlon
The Titans competed in the pentathlon for the first time in school history this indoor season. Fullerton had three athletes compete in the event this year, Taylor Frank, Jessica Aguilera, and Nicolette Garcia.
