FULLERTON, Calif. -- The Cal State Fullerton Dance Team successfully defended its title this past weekend, outperforming 12 other teams at the 19th annual United Spirit Association Collegiate Championships at the Anaheim Convention Center.

It was the sixth title for the Titans at this competition, and their third in the last four years, also claiming crowns in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2012.

Fullerton beat out San Diego State and Long Beach State in the top three for the title. Other schools in the Open Dance Four-Year College Division I competition included Northern Arizona, Cal Poly, Weber State, New Mexico, Cal State Northridge, Arizona, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, and Idaho State.

The title comes almost two months after the Titans claimed their 12th UDA/UCA Collegiate National Championship in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 19, for their fourth-straight title at that event.
