IRVINE, Calif. – Thirty-three Cal State Fullerton student-athletes received Academic All-Big West Conference honors, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, student-athletes have to maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, have attained sophomore standing academically, and competed in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
With the addition of Fullerton’s 20 student-athletes that received fall all-academic honors, the total of 53 honorees for the 2014-15 academic year is the most for Cal State Fullerton since the honor began being tracked in 1999.
In addition, the women’s tennis and men’s track and field programs recorded individual program highs with five and 11 student-athletes receiving all-academic honors, respectively.
