Julie Max serves as the Titans' director of sports medicine where she coordinates and supervises health care for all of Cal State Fullerton's student-athletes in her role as an assistant athletics director. She is also a faculty member in the Kinesiology department at the university.
She earned her undergraduate degree from CSUF and obtained her master's degree at Azusa Pacific University.
After serving as its first female president in 2000, Julie was inducted into the National Athletics Trainers' Association (NATA) Hall of Fame in 2007. She was honored by NATA as the recipient of the 2019 Eve Becker-Doyle Leadership Award. The Eve Becker-Doyle Leadership Award is the highest honor given to an NATA member specifically for outstanding leadership and volunteerism within the NATA.
She has been a member of the Titans staff since 1979.
